What is a rainforest?
A rainforest is a hot, thick jungle that gets a lot of rain. A large number of plants and animals live here. Most rainforests are located around the middle of the earth near the equator. Rainforests are very important to the earth. They help clean the air that we breathe. Some of the things we get from rainforests include chocolate, sugar, cinnamon, and herbal medicines. Unfortunately loggers have been cutting down trees to sell the wood and make room for farms. When the trees are cut down, many plants and animals die. Because rainforests are so important, we should do more to protect them.
Why is a rainforest important?
Rainforest's are important because they are natural habitats for many species of animals and plants and if we save them this can stop any animal being pushed to extinction... Also the plants may hold medical cures as yet unknown.
